Patrick McMillan to Visit Cascades Verdae for Lecture
Cascades Verdae, a premier retirement community located in Greenville, S.C., will host Educational Television (ETV) star Patrick McMillan on Friday, November 4. The afternoon will begin at 1:30 p.m. with a walk on the retirement community’s nature trail and culminate with an educational lecture directly following the outing.
McMillan is the host, co-creator and writer of the popular ETV nature program, Expeditions. He is a professional naturalist and biologist who also serves as director of the Campbell Museum of Natural History at Clemson University.
During the afternoon, members and guests of the retirement community will participate in a guided walk with McMillan on the nature trail which winds around the community’s 40-acre wooded campus. Following the walk, McMillan will lecture briefly on the flora and fauna local to the Upstate and also answer questions from the audience. Public attendance is available by reservation only.
