Lifestyle and Amenities
Verdae's vision for creating a community in the truest sense is taking shape - with more on the horizon. Following a smart plan for development, multiple neighborhoods--filled with residents of all ages and stages of life--are anchored by a recreational centerpiece that inspires and unites.
Spanning 20 acres of rolling hills and quiet wooded areas, Legacy Park is the Verdae community's recreational centerpiece. A secret garden to residents and a wondrous surprise to visitors, Legacy Park has the power to draw people from their homes to commune with nature and one another. Tranquil water features and landscaped pathways provide space to enjoy the natural world, while more than 10 acres of picturesque greens and miles of paved walkways provide ideal venues for family picnics, outdoor games, biking, or walking dogs.
The Cabana at Legacy Park may be reserved for parties and special events. To make a reservation, contact the City of Greenville at (864) 467-4355.
Legacy Park Friends exist to supplement City funding and provide volunteers so that Legacy Park is a beacon for a variety of recreational endeavors. Visit legacyparkfriends.com to learn more about how you can become a friend.
South Carolina is known across the country as a haven for golfers and the Verdae community is no exception. Designed by Willard Byrd and opened in 1991, The Preserve at Verdae Golf Club features five sets of tees to accommodate golfers of every skill level. The lush greens and vibrant pastels of the course are sure to brighten every player's round.
A popular community gathering spot is the Verdae YMCA located directly across from the park in Legacy Square. The Verdae Y features cardio and strength training equipment, group exercise classes and the option for physical activity outdoors.
